Carlos Rodríguez Capurro co-founded Citadelle Legal/Tax & Accounting, tras una sólida trayectoria de 18 años como socio en el estudio Blanco & Etcheverry y una destacada experiencia internacional como socio en Bureau Francis Lefebvre en Uruguay y previamente cinco años como asociado en Ferrere. 

Currently, he leads the Corporate and Litigation areas of the firm.  

In the corporate area, Carlos has focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and advisory in bidding and infrastructure projects..   

He has worked with key industries such as agribusiness, energy and investments, advising agribusiness, seed and agrochemical producers, as well as companies in the dairy and livestock sector. He has also collaborated in the implementation of wind farms and in the structuring of private and residential real estate projects .  

In dispute resolution, Carlos has extensive experience in civil and commercial litigationas well as in international arbitration proceedings..  

Chambers & Partnersin its Latin America Edition, highlights him as a lawyer with extensive experience in these areas. His strategic and multi-jurisdictional approach has been key in managing complex cases. 

With a solid background, Carlos holds the title of Doctor in Law and Social Sciences from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay (2000) and an LL.M. in International Law from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington D.C. (2004). 

At the academic level, he has been a speaker on topics of international relevance such as the carbon market, antitrust, Uruguayan exports to the European Union, the multilateral trading system, and intellectual property of plant varieties..
